Singapore Airline Costumer Service Please Help Me Guys?

serviced flat short
I am an OFW working in Dubai, UAE. I am working for more than a year and decided to go for vacation last Sept.13, 2008 because of my parents 40th anniversary. I bought them a 32″ inch PHILIPS LCD FLAT TV as a gift. actually it took me 8 months to save money for that dream television which is 15 kilos only so i decided to check it in. I chose SA because you are wold-class and well-known in good costumer service. To make the story short, when i came home that afternoon, as any normal vacationist will do, i checked my TV and it was broken. ( i have pictures that i can show you ) I asked the help of singapore air office in the philippines but they were so hard although they should know that they spoiled my vacation. Because it is only 17 days and i have to go back and forth for their decision. Until the last 2 days of my vacation, they decided to promise me to REPAIR OUR TV which cost 720 USD. But when i go back here in the UAE they changed their minds and told me there are no available parts in the Philippines for my FLAT TV. so they will just pay it 300 USD. I hope somebody there will please study my case. How can we OFW trust singapore airlines again if they will broke our declared fragile items and they will not pay for it as per value? I hope that i can have justice for what happened because i earned that money from hard work with the greatest sacrifice of being away from my family just like other OFW’s. Please help me guys.

Under the Warsaw Convention, you have to check your ticket to see if there is limitation as to time of notice of claim.

Please do so quickly as it may be voidable if you delay in reporting the matter.

Their head of marketing is Rita Dy. She’s a nice lady from what I know. You should call her directly – and not accept to talk with any assistants. Singapore Airlines is run on the Singapore business model – which is squeeze as much as possible out of the customer and do as little as possible to help him/her after you get the money. Sad to say, that’s how they got so rich.
Next time, take one of the Gulf carriers – they’re good and their customer service is right up there with Singapore Airlines. I used to fly them until they became too greedy price-wise. Now I use Gulf Air – and it’s a lot better and more relaxed and friendly service.
